Meg Swertlow
was born and raised in Los Angeles. Does she look familiar to you?! Well, you may have seen her as the character of Peaches in a very moving episode of “Joan of Arcadia” entitled “Back to the Garden.” No, that’s not it? Perhaps you may have seen her in one of the 31 jobs that she has had since graduating Hamilton College five years ago? Yep, that’s it!
Putting her illustrious cater waiter career on hold, she currently makes a living writing rhymes about famous people’s poor fashion choices for Entertainment Tonight’s website ETonline. For the past four years she has been performing improv, stand up and meowing like a cat at various theaters around LA. You can see her hit the stage with her iO West Harold improv team Dark Horse, as well as her newest team Miss Porter’s School for Girls at various theaters around Los Angeles. She has been trained by the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts in London, Hamilton College, Improv Olympic West and the Upright Citizen’s Brigade. Currently, she is teaching people about the true way to happiness in her one woman show “The Irresponsible Girl’s Guide to Having It All,” which she is performing at iO West.  Her next show is Saturday, Feb. 27th. The little ball of energy considers herself an expert at cartwheels, eating macaroni and cheese and being 5’1”.
This week you can see Meg and the rest of Miss Porter’s School for Girls at their benefit comedy show for haiti. Miss Porter’s School for Girls Presents Mustaches & Mai Tais! A benefit for Haiti. 5 dollar mai tais! 3 dollar beers! appetizer speials.
