The multi-disciplinary work of BriAnna Olson churns through video, digital art, performance, photography and installations, often placing the figure in surreal, dualistic situations. Seemingly both divine and macabre, the work tends to speak only in whispers carrying with it an inherent intimacy and requisite silence.
Her digital paintings have been exhibited at Brooklyn Academy of Music (2008) and Biennial Tehran (2008), and her video art has been screened for audiences in numerous outsider art spaces as well as Boston Underground Film Festival (2009, 2010) and CMJ Music Marathon & Film Festival in New York City (2009). She has held artist residencies at Takt Kunstprojektraum in Berlin (2008) and Cloud Club in Boston (2006) and will soon hold residencies in both Iceland and Egypt (2010).
